This weekend sports wise was really fun and epic! On Saturday we went with a group of people from our ward to the Detroit Pistons Basketball game versus the 76ers. It was great! The announcer could have done better but we entertained ourselves with cheers and singing and being as loud as we could be like you always do at sports games.
We had 11 couples in our group so there were 22 of us all together. Since we had such a huge group we got discounted tickets and free hats! What else could have been better?
Than on Sunday the second was Super Bowl 48. It was the Seattle Seahawks versus the Denver Broncos. What an epic game! I'll admit was nervous for the game because Seattle teams usually do really well during the regular season and choke during the playoffs. Plus the Broncos were known for coming back and winning games all season. And this was only the Seahawks second time to the Super Bowl. And none of our sports teams had won a championship of any kind since the 1979 Seattle Supersonics. So you can say it was a huge deal to Seattle fans!
So while grocery shopping on Saturday we got junk food for the game. Than after church had dinner, put on our pajamas and waited for the game to start. I was so giddy I couldn't sit still. The game finally started at 6:30 and it was AWESOME! The Broncos choked within the first few seconds of the game and the rest was history. The Seahawks won (43 to8 to be exact) and I couldn't be more proud of them bringing home the championship!
